What's new at Orbit

With all this talk of the 50th anniversary of the Beatles Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, we couldn't help thinking about the record that might have been; Smile, which was also to have come out in 1967. That got us to thinking about how that much-booted almost-record has influenced tons of music in its wake. So many musicians have immersed themselves in Brian Wilson's masterpiece, and have created tunes in the cut-and-paste style, that we have to think of it as a touchstone even today.
