Released in 1978, Van Halen's debut album had over 10 million in sales and on the pinnacle of the release, Van Halen went on their first world tour. As part of the first British performances, VH had a series of live performances for radio promotions. This is a live album based on its broadcast. The band's sound had already been cemented at this point even after about 4 months of debut and the potential of the band was obvious. Urban legend: At this date, VH was opening for Black Sabbath. Many of the audience were in the lobby during VH's performance, but it wasn't long before Eddie's amazing guitar work won over the skeptical crowd.
