Originally released by Columbia Records in 1959, Jazz Track compiled unused tracks from Miles's then-current sextet (Cannonball, Coltrane, Bill Evans, Paul Chambers & Jimmy Cobb - the Kind of Blue band), with the soundtrack to the French film, Ascenseur pour l'echafaud (Lift to the Scaffold), aka Frantic. Joining Miles on this portion of the LP are Barney Wilen, Rene Urtreger, Pierre Michelot & Kenny Clarke, recorded in 1957. The soundtrack portion had been previously released in Europe. The Sextet tracks are legendary and previously hard to find. This is a EU import re-issue of the rare album.
