Sonic Boom is an album that was recorded in April of 1967, but not released until 1979. Besides being a great session, the album is notable for the appearance of Fathead Newman, who only made 2 recordings with Blue Note Records (the other being a Lonnie Smith session). The band is Morgan, Fathead, Cedar Walton, Ron Carter, and Billy Higgins. All the tracks except I"ll Never Be the Same are Morgan originals. There is NO UPC code on this pressing.
