Despite the indication that this is a solo live performance, it is not either of those things. It is a 1964 studio recording with a full band (no personnel credits available- possibly Eddie Kirkland on guitar), designed to capitalize on Hooker's popularity in coffeehouses and college campuses across the nation. All songs are written by Hooker, and the band (guitars, bass, drums, piano...and occasional horns and background singers) is excellent.
