Funky Delicacies 009 - re-issue compilation

With the Long Awaited release of Mary, Don't Take Me On No Bad Trip by Fugi, Funky Delicacies makes available the very best Psych-Funk music ever made. This genre, a function of the tripped out post-LSD expressions of Midwestern Black musicians in the 60s, has been a huge underground phenomenon that has recently bubbled to the surface. Funky Delicacies has in fact already made a major contribution to this genre via it's reissues of Black Merda (Funky Delicacies DEL CD 0004). With this release, Funky Delicacies again proves its ability to flesh out music from the hardest to reach corners of the American music business. Central to this reissue is an unreleased album scheduled to have been released by Chess on the heels of his successful, druggy, "Mary, Don't Take Me On No Bad Trip" but was scrapped as the adventurousness of the 60s was yielding the backlash of the 70s.
