Other Side of This Life
Capitol 657 - re-issue LP
A 1/2 live and 1/2 studio album from Mr. Neil. The live portion was recorded at The Elephant, in Woodstock NY. The title song was originally on Neil's "Bleecker & MacDougal" album from 1965. The song had taken on a new life when super-fans, The Jefferson Airplane recorded the song on their "Bless It's Pointed Little Head" album, as well as performing it throughout their late 60s sets, including Woodstock. The '71 recording acts as a farewell from Neil as he entered his self-imposed exile from the music business to focus on dolphin conservation in his home state of Florida shortly after its release. Featuring a side of live recordings of some of his most lasting and well known compositions (including The Dolphins, and Everybody's Talkin') as well as a side of studio sessions featuring Les McCann and Gram Parsons,
Tracks:
Side One: "Live" (w/ Martin Dunn)
