The 4 Orchestras of Boyd Raeburn include Dodo Marmarosa, Dizzy Gillespie, Trummy Young, Hal McKusick, Al Cohn, and many more. The Atonal Experiments prompted Boyd to describe the music "...as modern classical music applied to swing. We've based it on the theory of modern music as presented by Hindemuth..." The vinyl is beautiful - VG+ with just a few minor scuffs. There are spindle marks, so it has been played. It is a Deep Groove pressing with an RVG stamp in the run-off grooves of side B, and the hand-written RVG on side A. There is an X20 following the catalogue number also in the run-off grooves. The jacket is also beautiful - holds nice gloss on front, with minor shelf wear on all four corners. The upper R corner is torn 1/8 of an inch.
