A huge influence on the urban Chicago stylings of Muddy, Dixon, etc, Broonzy's unique guitar style is equally at home in ragtime, hokum, country blues, & gospel blues. He lived long enough to be lionized by the 50s folk revival, and played to audiences the world over within that circle. These are some of his earliest recordings, from 1928-1935.
