Beach Boys
Live at the Fillmore East 1971
Parachute 64
This is a new Pressing of the Beach Boys live during their status re-assessment tour somewhere between the release of Sunflower and Surf's Up. It was around this time that the hippies embraced the band, in no small part due to Bill Graham's stamp of approval, which led to the double billing of them with the hippest band of all; the Grateful Dead. Once that happened, they were in. It was a long road, but they did it with hard work and dedication, becoming one of the tightest bands on the touring circuit in 1971. This is not a board recording, so it is hit and miss, but there is no doubt that it plays an important role in the trajectory of the Beach Boys in the early 70s.
