The third studio album by Paul McCartney and Wings, released in December 1973. Band on the Run was released three short years after the Beatles' split and would become one of the biggest selling albums of Sir Paul's entire solo career. Its commercial performance was aided by two hit singles — "Jet" and "Band on the Run" — such that it became the top-selling studio album of 1974 in the United Kingdom and Australia.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Band On The Run, this special vinyl edition was cut at half speed using a high-resolution transfer of the original master tapes from 1973 by Miles Showell at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, London. This track list mirrors the US release which includes the song “Helen Wheels”. Includes reproduction of Linda McCartney Polaroid poster.
