It was originally released as Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, but the title was quickly changed to Moanin' due to the popularity of that tune. Considered a classic in the hard bop category. This 180g audiophile vinyl reissue was mastered from the original analog tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearant Audio. Released as part of Blue Note's Classic Vinyl Series on 180g.
