Delaney & Bonnie & Friends
On Tour with Eric Clapton
In mid-1969, Delaney & Bonnie whose rock/soul/blues group had '& Friends' added to its name because of its ever-evolving personnel were invited by Eric Clapton to open for Blind Faith's U.K. tour. Legend has it that Clapton's pal George Harrison
suggested the pairing (Delaney is credited with having taught Harrison to play slide guitar), and it was a match made in rock 'n' roll heaven. Clapton continued to play and record with Delaney & Bonnie following Blind Faith's dissolution, and ON TOUR WITH ERIC CLAPTON recorded in December '69 and released in mid-1970 captures a peak moment in their star-crossed musical paths.
They never played better, and on Rhino's 180-gram vinyl edition, this historic concert recording has never sounded more alive. Other "friends" include Dave Mason, Carl Radle, Jim Gordon, Bobby Whitlock, Jim Price, Bobby Keys, Rita Coolidge, and others.

Things Get Better
