The Kids Are Alright LP soundtrack is a companion piece to the 1979 documentary film of the same name, which acts as an alternative "best of" album of sorts, in that most of their well-known songs are presented here in rare Live versions, rather then the better known studio versions. Many of the live versions were not used in the film, making it a rarities compilation, as well.
