Nation Time was originally released on the tiny CJR label in 1970, and re-issued on CD by Atavistic in 2000. This is a new vinyl re-issue on Superior Viaduct Records. Joining McPhee are Mike Kull on piano, Tyrone Crabb on bass & trumpet, and Bruce Thompson or Ernest Bostic on percussion. On Shakey Jake, add Otis Greene on alto, Herbie Lehman on organ, and Dave Jones on electric guitar.
