In 1976, Betty Davis traveled to the remote Studio In The Country in Louisiana to set the record straight: she would not be censored. Betty and her band, Funk House, laid down ten hard-hitting tracks that both seduced and taunted her critics and would-be tamers. As a result, the album was shelved for decades. Newly remastered, Is It Love or Desire offers an eclectic mix of Betty's signature funk-rock and devastatingly intimate ballads. 
Features a guest appearance by Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown. New liner noted by Oliver Wang interviewing Betty plus lyrics. Pressed at RTI with the full support of Ms. Davis. Comes in a gatefold jacket and pressed on "silver metallic wax".
