The inspriration for Donna Summer's classic Love to Love you Baby, Je T'Aime was originally recorded by Gainsbourg and his 1967 lover Brigit Bardot, but not released until 1989. He re-recorded it with his 1968 lover, Jane Birkin, and history was made, mostly by the song being banned the world over.
