Clifford Brown set the tone and style that is still being copied to this day - years after his untimely death. This album contains the contents of 2 10" albums from 1953, with 2 different groups; side one with Gigi Gryce, Charlie Rouse, John Lewis, Percy Heath, and Art Blakey; side 2 with Lou Donaldson, Elmo Hope, Percy Heath, and Philly Joe Jones. Vinyl is VG+ - looks unplayed, but has scuffs and a line on side 2 that don't affect play. It is the solid blue mid-70s pressing from Liberty. It is re-channeled stereo. The jacket has some ring wear, and the bottom R corner is cut indicating promotional copy.
