The Temps released All Directions is July of 1972, which contained their SMASH hit single "Papa Was A Rolling Stone", winning 3 Grammy Awards that year. The nearly 12 minute version is on the album, written and produced by the hit team of Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong. While not quite up to the standards set by that song, the rest of the album also contains many highlights, continuing with Whitfield's signature funky psychedelic touches brought to previous albums.
