the famous classic live performance at the Roman Amphitheater in Pompeii, Italy. Recordings from the four days of filming without an audience, at the Pompeii amphitheater, from which the film Pink Floyd At Pompeii was later made. The archaeological park of Pompeii, and above all its amphitheater, became the setting for a work that has become legendary over time for four days, from 4 to 7 October 1971. The amphitheater was in fact the set for the closed-door filming, in antithesis to what had been Woodstock, of a concert film that rightfully became one of the legendary events in the history of rock.
